This part of the Church of England web site is dedicated to Common Worship, the services and prayers which are available for use in the Church of England alongside the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. On these pages, you will find the Common Worship texts, supporting resources and information about other authorized services.
Most of the Common Worship services are in a modern idiom, with vibrant images that seek to connect the Biblical tradition with people's own experiences. A key concept is that of the Christian life as a journey - one in which those as yet uncommitted to the faith are also invited to join.
The main volume contains a range of services including Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Night Prayer, together with the Holy Communion and Baptism services.
It also includes services from The Book of Common Prayer in the forms in which they are customarily used today, as well as a service of Night Prayer using the texts from The 1928 Prayer Book.
All of the major areas of this site are available from the right-hand menu. If at any time you get lost, return to this page by using the link to "common worship" in the bread crumb trail at the top of the screen in the blue bar.
