Night Prayer

The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning 'completion' (completorium). It is above all a service of quietness before rest at the end of the day. The Common Worship service is offered here both in contemporary language and in traditional language (using the texts from the 1928 Prayer Book).

Times and dates change according to Greenwich Mean Time. Make your choice of service and then scroll down through the service, reading both the minister's part and the responses at your own pace.
