General Synod - Summary of Business Conducted on Tuesday 27th February pm

The Draft Amending Canon No 27 (GS 1598B) and Draft Vacancy in See Committees Amendment Regulation 200- (GS 1599B) were given final approval.
The Draft Ecclesiastical Offices (Terms of Service) Measure (GS 1637), Draft Ecclesiastical Offices (Terms of Service) Regulations (GS 1638) and Draft Amending Canon No 29 (GS 1639) were all carried at first consideration and committed to revision in committee.
Draft Church of England Marriage Measure (GS 1616A) – Report by the Revision Committee
The Synod, after debate, took note of the report and proceeded to consideration of the draft Measure. This will be continued later in this Group of Sessions.
The Archbishop of Canterbury introduced a presentation led by the Revds Lynda Barley, Paul Bayes and Steve Croft.
