Worship Resources 2009

Vocations Sunday offers an opportunity for worship to reflect on the importance of God's call to his people, and to consider the many ways Christians are called to serve and witness in the world and in the church.

You are free to use any of these resources to enrich your worship on Vocations Sunday or at other events.  

Permission has been obtained for copyright material here to be reproduced for 'one-off' services with the relevant acknowledgement.

• The Alternative Liturgical Texts includes a selection of word which may be slotted into an existing service structure (e.g. Holy Communion, or A Service of the Word)

• The Resources section includes a ‘worked example’ of both a service of Holy Communion Order One and A Service of the Word, together with other creative ideas for worship.

• The Hymns and Songs section includes a list of suggested hymns and songs, and three new hymn texts.

• Other Resources includes a selection of words which may be used in worship, alongside officially authorized and commended material.
