  • Bradwell Episcopal Area of Chelmsford Diocese
    Area Vocations Days 18-20 May 2007 - Find out more about opportunities to serve God.
    Workshops available include: Working with Young People; Ordained Ministry; Reader Ministry; and Sharing our Faith
  • Ordinands from the Oxford Theological Colleges have been invited to preach in parishes in Chelmsford and Canterbury Dioceses on Vocations Sunday.

Carlisle Diocese have created materials for a 6- session course encouraging church members to explore their own particular gifts and vocation. “Your SHAPE for God’s Service” looks at the whole person (including our Spiritual gifts, Heart’s desires, Abilities, Personality & Experience), on the basis that we have been created and shaped by God and he wants us to serve him in all that we are and do. The course aims to help people grow in their Christian discipleship in every area of their lives – work, family, friends, local community, church, voluntary and leisure activities.
It can be used with groups in churches, of any denomination, including small ones whose members are not confident about “having anything spiritual to offer.” Permission is given to adapt material as appropriate for local contexts, and it is available on re-writeable CD as a series of Word documents for printing off.

The Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich recently held a service "CELEBRATING GOD'S CALL".
This non-eucharistic service included opportunities to affirm and celebrate God's call to follow and serve, and ended with an act of commitment.
