Timetable for the further steps in the legislative process

The timetable is likely to be:

July 2009 – the Draft Ecclesiastical Offices (Terms of Service) Regulations were approved by the General Synod.
End of 2009 – Parliamentary consideration will be given to the Regulations
February 2010 – Amending Canon 29 will return to General Synod for final approval. Capability and Grievance procedures will also be considered by General Synod.
End of 2010 - legislation comes into effect (possibly in stages) although exact dates are yet to be agreed.
