Baptism, Confirmation and the Affirmation of Baptismal Faith – An Introduction

 

What follows is intended both as general introduction to the Church of England’s understanding of Christian initiation and as a guide to the services of Baptism, Confirmation and Affirmation of Baptismal Faith.

It is designed to be read straight through, but if you are looking for specific information it may be helpful to know that the site is structured as follows:

Section A is a general introduction to the theology and practice of Christian initiation in the Church of England.

Section B gives you information about Baptism and also about the service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child.

Section C gives you information about Confirmation

Section D gives you information about the Affirmation of Baptismal Faith
