Get to grips with talking about baptism!

Stuck for ways of helping young children understand the significance of Baptism as a major milestone on the Christian journey? Looking for a bright and cheerful way of explaining the sacrament to a younger relative? Two new resources from Church House Publishing are just what you need!

My Baptism Book and The Baptism Cube, written by the Church’s National Children’s Officer, Diana Murrie, explore the life-giving nature of water, the biblical background to the sacrament, and the symbolism of the baptism service. The cube unfolds to reveal a series of vivid illustrations using clear language to appeal to young ears and eyes.

Designed primarily for one-to-one use between a child and an adult, they are also suitable for use in parent and toddler clubs or other group settings.

To enter the In Review competition to win a cube and a book, simply answer the three questions below – the answers can all be found in articles included in this edition.

Email your entry to: cofecomms@c-of-e.org.uk or write your entry on a postcard to In Review, Communications Office, Church House, Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3NZ

Entries must be received before 30th June 2006. Ten winners will be drawn from entrants supplying the correct answers.

The questions:

  2. How much has been put into the Parish Mission Fund for innovative outreach work in the last four years?
  3. How many visitors does York Minster receive, on average, each year?
