Clergy Payments Department

The Church Commissioners operate the central clergy payroll and, although not the employers of the clergy, they are responsible for paying a stipend to most clergy, deaconesses and licensed layworkers in parochial or diocesan appointments, and for making pension payments on behalf of the Pensions Board. The pages on this web site are designed for those paid through our payroll and their agents.
