Rochester

Vicar

St Andrew’s, Paddock Wood

- An Anglican and Methodist LEP

St. Andrew’s, Paddock Wood is a lively, friendly church in West Kent, seeking different ways of being “the salt and light” in our small town of 8000 people. Our desire is that we will grow both spiritually and numerically.

So what is it that defines St Andrew’s?

Ÿ                An LEP: as Anglicans and Methodist we always worship together

Ÿ                The churchmanship / theology is ‘open evangelical’, and our Worship Services are varied:  from traditional to Messy Church

Ÿ                The number of the laity who take responsibility or get involved

Ÿ                Very open to ideas from both our membership and our clergy

Ÿ                Numbers:  constant at about 240 members, with 170 worshipping on Sundays

Ÿ                The Fair Trade Shop as part of our church and outreach

For the New Incumbent we offer a church

Ÿ                That is very welcoming, active and committed to Paddock Wood

Ÿ                That, at present, has a secure financial position

Ÿ                That provides experience in a successful LEP environment

Ÿ                That has a Curate and provides a good training opportunity

Ÿ                That will provide an opportunity to exercise leadership skills and try new projects, within St Andrews, the other churches in Paddock Wood, the Circuit, and the local community

Ÿ                That has a good location for education, employment and leisure pursuits

Ÿ                That has good accessibility to London, the Coast and the Continent

If you think you might lead this active and varied church and its members, then please visit the web site on www.sapw.freeserve.co.uk
