Tell us what you think about our website
A vacancies list is published on a fortnightly basis, and although this is more limited in scope than the Adviser would wish, it does provide a service to those seeking a new appointment and has been helpful to many.
To view the current Vacancy List, please select from the column on the right-hand side.
Advertising your Vacancy with the
Clergy Appointments Adviser’s Office
There are many advantages to placing your advert in our list of vacancies on the CAA website, which receives on average 1500 hits per month and is accessed through the Church of England’s main website.
Here are a few guidelines for placing your advert with us; we hope that they will help you.
• Try to keep your advert succinct and to the point. It is better to grab people’s attention with a short and well written advert and tell them where they can get further details from rather than bog them down with endless details at this early stage.
• Please do include a closing date on your advert. A closing date will enable us to keep your advert live for as long as possible.
• We do not accept adverts that ask for male only applicants if there isn’t also mention that the parish in question has taken Resolutions A&B at the very least. This is a bit of a grey area in terms of employment law and church exemption, however in the interests of best practice we can only take such adverts with the stipulation above.
• Please ensure that the advert you place with us has been approved by the relevant people or persons! These may include your local bishop, archdeacon or the patron.
• Because of the constraints of the C of E website, we cannot reproduce graphics and logos etc. Please keep your advert text only and a maximum of one side of A4. Please give details from where Job Profiles can be obtained. Either by mail or a web-link
