Church of England Strategy for Children

Sharing the Good News with Children is the document which sets out the Church of England’s children’s strategy.

  • Passed by General Synod in July 2003.
  • Joint strategy from the former Boards of Mission and Education, now the Mission and Public Affairs and the Education divisions.
  • The National Children’s Officer, Diana Murrie, and the Archbishop’s Officer for Evangelism among Children, Margaret Withers, worked closely together on the implementation of the Strategy but each has areas of particular responsibility. Please click here for the Strategy document.

The responsibility for further implementation of the Strategy will pass to the National Children's Officer, Diana Murrie, until July 2006 and to her successor, the National Children's Adviser, Mary Hawes, from 11th September 2006. She will work in close co-operation with the National Mission and Evangelism Adviser, Paul Bayes.
