Darwin200
The Charles Darwin Trust, the BBC, the Royal Society of London, English Heritage and over 40 other organisations are celebrating Darwin's 200th birthday in February 2009 with an exciting programme of activities. Celebrations begin in July 2008 (to mark the 150th anniversary of the first presentation of Darwin's theories on natural selection) and build up to November 2009 (the 150th anniversary of 'On the Origin of Species'). Endless Forms: Charles Darwin, Natural Science and Visual Arts
Science meets art in an exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge exploring the fascinating relationship between the revolutionary theories of Charles Darwin and nineteenth-century art, running June 16th to October 4th.
