Ensuring that the Library's holdings are preserved for future generations is a key part of the Library's work.
The work of the Library's Conservation Studio is centred on the preservation and repair of manuscripts and early printed books. A technician undertakes the guarding and filing of Archbishops Papers and other loose documents. External funding supports the work of a second conservator on an important project within the Court of Arches Archive.
The Studio maintains close working links with the Church of England Record Centre and Westminster Abbey Library.
