Code of Recommended Practice to Repair of Benefice Buildings Measure 1972

Our standard reference for those involved in parsonage repair and maintenance. It gives full guidance on procedures.

The RBBM Code gives detailed guidance on parsonage issues including the rights and responsibilities of incumbents (as freehold owners of parsonages but with the rights in effect of tenants) and the equivalent roles of Diocesan Parsonages Boards (with the legal and financial responsibility for maintaining parsonages). It gives guidance on the consultation process, and our role in considering representations. It includes forms for use by diocesan authorities.
