If you are an active member of the Church of England Funded Pension Scheme (CEFPS), you can pay additional voluntary contributions (AVCs) to increase your total retirement benefits.
The scheme works by taking your AVCs and investing them with a fund manager until retirement. The current managers are Legal & General and Prudential. There are four investment choices with each manager:-

| With profits | With profits |
| Managed fund | Discretionary fund |
| Ethical fund | Socially Responsible fund |
